Website Services Terms
These are the terms that apply when you start a website plan with us. They're the same terms as the agreement you sign — no separate small print, no surprises.
We design, build, host, and maintain a custom website for your business under the plan you select. What each plan includes is described on our plans page and in our brochure, which form part of this agreement as of the date you sign.
| Plan | Monthly | One-time |
|---|---|---|
| Foundation | $250 / month | $2,000 |
| Local Engine ★ recommended | $375 / month | $3,500 |
| Market Leader | $699 / month | $7,000 |
Add-ons are priced separately by written estimate: additional pages from $150 per page, and Google Ads management at $750 setup plus monthly management, with ad spend paid by you directly to Google.
Monthly plans. No setup fee. Your first monthly payment is due when you sign — that payment puts you in the build queue. After that your card on file is charged automatically each month through Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
One-time builds. 50% of the price is due at signing; the remaining 50% at completion, before the site goes live. The site is yours when the full price is paid. One-time builds include the first year of care — hosting, security, backups, updates, small changes, and Google Business Profile help — at no additional charge. After that year, care continues on a monthly plan priced by complexity, or you take the site and run it yourself.
Missed payments. Cards expire and charges fail — it happens, and it is not a crisis. Stripe retries automatically and emails you, and you can update your card any time through the Client billing link on our site. If a payment is still outstanding after 21 days and we have not been able to reach you, we may temporarily pause the website until the account catches up. We will always reach out personally first — a pause is a last resort, and nothing is ever deleted. The site comes back the moment the account is current. A pause does not stop the term or the amounts owed.
Monthly plans run for a minimum of 12 months, starting with your first payment at signing. This minimum exists because the results we build toward — search rankings, Google trust, a growing profile — take months to compound. After the initial 12 months, the plan continues month-to-month, and either of us may end it with 30 days' written notice (email is fine).
Ending early. The 12-month commitment is real. If you end a monthly plan before the initial term is complete, the remaining monthly payments of the term become due immediately. Once they are paid, the term is treated as completed: the website is fully yours, transferred as described below. Ending early changes when you pay — not what you pay or what you receive.
While a monthly plan is active, we own and control the website files, hosting, and related accounts. That is how we can keep the site fast, secure, and maintained. When you complete the 12-month term, or pay a one-time price in full, the website is yours: we transfer the site files, content, domain name, and related accounts we hold for you, at no extra charge.
Your materials stay yours. Your logo, photos, the text you provide, and your business information remain your property at all times. You confirm you have the right to use whatever you give us.
Portfolio. We may show the finished, publicly visible website — screenshots, a link, a short description — in our portfolio and marketing. This covers the public website only, never the business information described in the next section. Tell us in writing if you'd rather we didn't show it at all, and we won't.
Building and running your website means we will learn things about how your business actually works — what you charge, who your customers are, where your work comes from, what you earn, who you rely on, and what you're planning next.
We keep that to ourselves. We will not share your business information with anyone outside Brook Frameworks, we will not use it for any purpose other than doing this work for you, and we will not use it to advise or assist a competitor of yours. If we bring in a contractor to help with your project, they are held to this same obligation before they see anything.
This continues after we're done. This section outlives the agreement — it keeps applying after the term ends, whatever the reason it ended.
The only things it doesn't cover: information that is already public or that you make public yourself, information we already had before you gave it to us, and anything we are legally required to disclose — in which case we'll tell you first if we're permitted to.
Hosting, SSL, security monitoring, backups, software updates, and fixes when something breaks. Plan-specific features — page counts, area pages, local SEO work, Google Business Profile work, reporting — are as described for your selected plan.
Not included unless quoted separately: work beyond your plan's scope, the add-ons listed above, paid advertising budgets, photography, and third-party fees such as your domain registration if you hold it yourself.
We draft the website content; you review and approve everything before launch. Our timelines depend on you responding to reasonable requests — content, photos, approvals — within a reasonable time. Delays on your side extend timelines but do not pause billing once the site has launched.
We build websites designed to rank well and bring in inquiries, and our local SEO work follows Google's published guidelines. But nobody controls Google. We do not and cannot guarantee specific rankings, traffic numbers, or lead volumes, and no such guarantee is part of this agreement.
We also rely on services we don't control — hosting networks, Google, Stripe, domain registrars. If one of them has an outage or changes its rules, we'll work to fix or adapt, but we're not liable for their failures.
Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential damages — lost profits, lost data, lost business. Our total liability under this agreement is capped at the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
This agreement is governed by Maryland law, and any disputes will be handled in the courts of Prince George's County, Maryland. Changes must be in writing — an email confirmation from both sides counts. If one part of this agreement is found unenforceable, the rest still stands. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
Brook Frameworks (Silas Bilar, sole proprietor, Laurel, Maryland) sends text messages only to people who have given us their mobile number and agreed to receive them. Today that is one program: operational alerts to the business owner's own phone (a confirmation when a prospect call-back or video call is scheduled, a reminder fifteen minutes before it, and a notification when the contact form on brookframeworks.com is submitted). Message frequency varies with activity, typically a few messages a day. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to cancel and you will receive one final text confirming you are unsubscribed; reply HELP for help, or email [email protected]. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile numbers and consent records are never shared with third parties for marketing; see our Privacy Policy.
